SPEECH BY THE PRESIDENT AT THE SPECIAL APP TOWN HALL, (15 Sept. 2022)

All Members of Government, Our international guests, Members of the Press,

Dear Ambazonians,

In 2019 we initiated the SLP (Swiss-Led Process), we accepted to lead the mission to have Ambazonia constituted and present on the table of negotiation with LRC, for peaceful negotiated solution to the ongoing war of independence. We masterminded the establishment of a willing team that accompanied us to the Switzerland thereby declaring to the world that we are ready to talk with our adversaries through the mediation of the Swiss. We elected the nation of Switzerland as mediator. The Process is endorsed by the US, EU UN and Switzerland and Canada. French Cameroon has never shown an iota of commitment towards this process beyond lip service and a farrago of excuses.

We have been patiently waiting on the table not because LRC was on the table, but because the International Community was with us on the table. We expected the stakeholders to mount the necessary pressure to get the State party to meet us on the table. Today, by their categorical rejection of the Swiss initiative, they have refused the path of dialogue and have declared unequivocally that they prefer to kill us all as the solution. We in this IG saw this coming, we understood their body language a long time ago, that is why we zeroed down on arming our volunteers to resist the enemy and increase the cost on the enemy.

Early last month in August, we issued a statement to the Swiss Government requesting clear answers from Yaounde before the end of this year 2022, else the IG will be obliged to withdraw their mandate to the Swiss. Now our pressure has led LRC to speak out their true thinking. LRC HAS OFFICIALLY WITHDRAWN THE MANDATE THEY GAVE TO THE SWISS IN 2019 TO SERVE AS MEDIATOR. We are not surprised

because three years of refusal to meet at the table is equal to rejection. We are no more disappointed than the international community that has put in time and resources to force an unwilling horse like LRC.

We in the IG have never taken our eyes from the goal which is resistance until independence is fully restored. We have refused to bow before all negative forces trying to shipwreck our struggle: the naysayers, the hate, character assassination, manipulation, corruption, lies and division. The IG under my leadership, in the midst of the darkest hour in our struggle, we decided to remain head strong and shine as the last beacon of hope to our people. This is what we needed in a war like ours. And some people are seen dancing and celebrating some imaginary trophy only they can describe. I know there is no such victory for us now that we should be celebrating. Do you want to know the truth? Here is where we are – we are taking turns, queuing being the more than 45k till the last man standing. If you are not ready to die, you have no reason to live because every living thing must die one day. Ambazonians, we are all prisoners in the Home Front wherever we are – a prison without walls. You must fight for your freedom.

The Mediation Process has officially ended.

That should be very good news for those who did everything to sabotage, to deny it ever existed, and to try and kill the process. Tell them that the “Swiss cheese” are finished, and they should bring us their own process, which is not the Yaounde process. This decision is of course favored by war mongers in Yaounde, led by Ngoh Ngoh, Paul Tasong, Banqoui, Atanga Nji, etc. They are assuring the rest that a Military solution is possible and will pave the way for a one-Cameroon solution. They believe they are making inroads with their Grand National Monologue solutions and strategies to end this conflict. They don’t see any need for International Mediation because, they are talking to some of us.

The Swiss came in as a willing international ally to mediate. They still are willing. They are now on standby as far as the Mediation Process is concerned. The Swiss Government stands firm with the UN and USA in favor of a mediated settlement. Why did LRC give their mandate to the Swiss in the first place? What has changed? They gave their mandate during the first half of 2019. We also gave ours to the Swiss by July of the same year. LRC went along to organize their Grand National Monologue in October 2019. Their intention was to bypass the Restorationists, then mobilize the never-Ambazonia group, and concoct a one-Cameroon solution.

Three years after, the war is still raging, the genocide is only increasing. We all know the war is ongoing. We know we have more guns on the ground today than we had in 2019, but LRC surprisingly now thinks they can win the war, or they can end the war through direct talks with individuals who parade as Ambazonian leaders at home and in the Diaspora, without meeting the Ambazonia that is led by this IG on the table, for an internationally mediated settlement. They have shocked many in the International arena by withdrawing

from the mediation process. Where do you think they found the effrontery to do this? It is either they are insane, in denial, or something, someone, has given them grounds for such a wild imagination.

This is not what we expected to hear from LRC at this time, but it is what is to be expected in a process like this. In every conflict when the reality changes, actors also change their strategies. Negotiation is a strategy and war is also a strategy. Even at the verge of a comprehensive negotiated agreement, parties can still withdraw if in their estimation they don’t have to sign the agreement because they just won the war. But woe unto anyone who has contributed or is contributing in any way to give reason to LRC to think this way, that they don’t have to come to us again for a mediated solution, and/ or give LRC the false hope that our struggle is collapsing.

Shame on you who have said to the hearing of LRC that the Diaspora is no longer necessary, that the HF does not take orders from the IG. If that is true, why should anyone then talk with us on your behalf if you are not in any way under our authority? Are you not destroying the struggle?

Shame on you that is telling the world that the struggle is fragmented, by foolishly elevating every Father & Son’s enterprise of lies and greed on Social Media, every LRC proxy association, as another Ambazonia faction.

Shame on you who are advising people that the IG, the only one with a solid structure supporting fighters daily, should not be funded?! Why? So that fighting will slow down?? Then what? LRC will have their way?

Shame on you who influence fighters to kill other fighters because they are fighting under the IG. The people bought you a gun to defend yourselves, instead of using it against LRC, you turn it against the people’s IG?

Imagine: two of you are fighting over what belongs to the two of you. The enemy outside wants to take that thing from the two of you. Why will he negotiate with both of you who cannot see eye to eye? Rather he will wait and see which one will kill the other, then zoom in and take out the other and own the asset in dispute.

Shame on you who expect the world to recognize Ambazonia as a country after the restoration of our independence in 2017, but you are doing everything that will destroy our reputation as a restored Country. If any country wants to recognize Ambazonia today, what should they do, who should they talk to?

Shame on you who establish fake accounts, spread lies and anti-revolutionary propaganda to kill the struggle,

Shame on you who go underground and hold meetings with LRC agents, make phone calls to agents of LRC to sell our struggle, assuring them you will help them to end the war under their terms.

Shame on you who shy away from Drafting, ban the draft, discouraging others with cock and bull lies not to Draft, and hope our ARFs all give up, so you can freely travel to LRC and live free!

Shame on you peddling the idea of another government in the HF out of ignorance, hate and envy. Let me ask you this: if international mediation totally fails, how do you intend to proceed with LRC in the bushes? Or will you go to Yaoundé if they invite you?

Will you receive LRC group by group – and envelope by envelope? Will that bring about the independence we have fought and sacrificed for? Many people are not ignorant, it is only that they don’t think things through. You support ideas without thinking them through. Those of you, patriots by day sellouts by night, who nicodemusly join forces with the enemy for blood-stained peanuts to betray our cause, sell the blood of our heroes for crumbs, promising to LRC du Cameroon that you will help them to crush our efforts, you are the greatest mistakes in our history. I wish you were never born, Ambazonia would be better off without you!

HOWEVER:

This is a good gift in a poor package.

The Swiss have said they are NOT going to work for LRC on their Grand National Monologue project, as has been insinuated in a certain Press Release.
The Swiss are a friendly Nation to Ambazonia.
The President of the Swiss Federation says they have put in much time and resources to resolve the conflict, so they are not ready to walk away from this conflict.

They remain on standby and support any of our genuine initiatives, to facilitate a resolution of the ongoing conflict between the two sides.

ARFs United for Ambazonia, in the Home Front:

-Please, the IG is here to give you the legitimacy in the International Community to fight as combatants of a restored nation, for this reason LRC has not succeeded to label us terrorists. Today they are calling you separatists. Yet you are not even separatists, you are soldiers of a country with a Government and structures.

-If you don’t unite under the IG, you keep castigating and dissociating yourselves as some apolitical armed groups with no political agenda, you will be abandoned by the international community.

-You will fight for decades, and the international community may even gang up with LRC to carpet bomb all of you as a security threat in the subregion.

If we love Ambazonia, and if you want Ambazonia, we must make the right choices. What will you gain if the IG stops doing what she is doing in the struggle? And what are we paid for sacrificing for you all? We are about 2 million Ambazonians abroad, how many are sacrificing daily to support this great cause? There are 6 million of us back home, how many are combatants?

If you gave up and I gave up today have you ever imagined what could befall all of us by the hands of these monsters, we are up against?

This is where the scripture says that, “He who wants to save his live shall lose it, but he who loses his life shall find it.”
Forget about fame, title, money, position, group, name, and what have you. Stop fighting for anything but Ambazonia. If we don’t loose these things, this generation shall not see Ambazonia, perhaps our children will.

THE WAY FORWARD:

To continue working with those Stakeholders who birthed this process, and who desire to see a negotiated solution.

They will tell us the way forward and how they will now deal with the enemy to peace (LRC), in the Gulf of Guinea.

We will continue working with the Swiss as willing facilitators.

Above all, we will double down on the War like we have never seen. Draft, draft, draft!
